shaped with memories of Hokkaido and the simple joys of everyday life

"Hitotsu" means "one" in Japanese, and when repeated twice—hitotsu-hitotsu—it means "one by one."

Hitotsu was founded by Yumi, who was born and raised amidst the vast, gentle nature of Hokkaido, Japan. Now living in Hong Kong with her husband and daughter, she shapes each piece by hand from scratch.

Her works are deeply inspired by the nostalgic landscapes of her hometown and the simple, heart-warming joys of her everyday life.

Because everything is handcrafted, no two pieces are exactly alike. Each has its own unique shape and expression.

Created "one by one" with care, these pieces carry a gentle wish: that when you hold them, they remind you of the simple comforts of life, and that you, too, are truly special.
